A Typical Workflow

Strategy Architecture in Professional Services — 2026 Benchmark

Consultants can use our analysis of 2,867 scorecards across 280 organizations as an empirical reference when designing client strategy architecture.

Within the benchmark, the professional services cohort included 101 organizations. Its median implementation contained four scorecards, approximately 42 KPIs per scorecard, and two hierarchy levels—close to the overall medians of five scorecards, approximately 44 KPIs, and two levels.

Differences became more visible among the most extensive professional-services implementations. At the 90th percentile, organizations reached approximately 18 scorecards and 64 KPIs per scorecard.

For strategy consultants, these findings provide a useful reference range: client architecture can be compared with both a typical professional-services implementation and the substantially broader or more measurement-dense structures found among extensive implementations. These benchmarks should support architectural discussion—not be treated as prescribed targets.
